Their innovative adhesive technology ensures they hold strong while allowing for clean removal, making them perfect for seasonal décor or permanent displays. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, these clips can elevate your space for parties, holidays, and everyday organization. -
Question:
Can Command Decorating Clips hold outdoor decorations?
Answer: Yes, Command Decorating Clips are suitable for outdoor decorations, provided they are applied correctly on clean, dry surfaces. Their weather-resistant adhesive offers reliable hold against various outdoor conditions. Use these clips for hanging outdoor string lights or seasonal decorations, such as wreaths or festive garlands, ensuring your outdoor areas look vibrant and welcoming. -
Question:
How do I remove Command Decorating Clips without leaving residue?
Answer: To remove Command Decorating Clips without residue, pull the tab straight downwards slowly. This releases the adhesive from the surface without damaging your walls or leaving sticky remnants. It's advisable to follow the manufacturer's removal instructions carefully for best results. This feature makes them ideal for renters or anyone looking to avoid wall repairs after removing decorations. -
Question:
How much weight can Command Decorating Clips hold?
Answer: Command Decorating Clips can typically hold up to 1 pound when used properly on recommended surfaces. This makes them perfect for hanging lightweight items like string lights or small decorative pieces. For heavier items, consider using multiple clips to distribute the weight evenly. Assessing your hanging needs can help you choose the right clips for the occasion. -
Question:
Are Command Decorating Clips visible once applied?
Answer: Command Decorating Clips are designed to be clear, making them less noticeable against most surfaces. This aesthetic feature allows for creativity in decoration, as the focus remains on your decor rather than the hardware. Perfect for festive lighting or artwork displays, you can showcase your decorations without compromising on style. -
Question:
Can Command Clips be reused?
Answer: While Command Decorating Clips themselves are not meant to be reused, you can easily replace the adhesive strips to reapply them. This allows for flexibility in changing decorations without needing to repurchase the entire clip set. Just ensure to clean the surface thoroughly before reapplying to secure proper adhesion for your new décor. -
Question:
What surfaces are suitable for Command Decorating Clips?
Answer: Command Decorating Clips can be applied to painted walls, wood, tiles, and glass. It's essential to ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth for optimal adhesion. This versatility makes them an excellent choice for temporary displays in homes, offices, or for events, as they can adapt to various environments and styles. -
Question:
How do I apply Command Decorating Clips?
Answer: To apply Command Decorating Clips, first clean the surface with rubbing alcohol to remove dust and oils. Peel the adhesive backing and stick the clip onto the desired surface, pressing firmly for about 30 seconds. Allow the adhesive to bond properly before hanging any items. This straightforward process helps secure your decorations safely and effectively. -
Question:
Can I use Command Clips on textured surfaces?
Answer: Command Decorating Clips perform best on smooth surfaces, so while they can adhere to mildly textured surfaces, results may vary. For optimal performance, consider using them on non-textured areas. If you wish to use them on rougher textures, ensure the clip is pressed adequately and allow for extra time for the adhesive to bond. -

Command Utility Hooks 17026CLR Editorial Review
The Command Decorating Clips (17026CLR-ES) have garnered a mixed yet generally favorable reception among customers, particularly for light-duty hanging tasks. Many users appreciate their ease of installation and removal, highlighting the absence of residue left on surfaces, which is particularly advantageous for those living in rented accommodations or dormitories. The ability to hang decorations without damaging walls is a significant selling point for these clips. Customers frequently praise the clips' performance when used for lightweight items such as balloons, paper lanterns, and ornaments. They are described as an “economical solution” for routing wires, keeping spaces tidy and visually appealing due to their transparent design. However, users have noted a limitation in the strength of these clips, particularly when attempting to hang heavier items like Christmas lights, as they lack a specified weight rating. Some customers have expressed disappointment, suggesting that those who need to hang heavier decorations should opt for the Command Mini Hooks instead, which are deemed sturdier. Overall, the clips serve a specific purpose effectively but fall short when tasked with heavier hanging responsibilities. Their strengths lie in their ability to support lightweight decor while offering a simple solution to maintain a clean aesthetic in various settings. **
