Absolute Zombies

**** The Consensus around this film seems to present a puzzling contradiction—while the production quality is panned by many as subpar, a niche audience revels in its unabashedly bizarre style. Viewers criticize the film's graphics, describing them as akin to poorly executed school projects, with cut-and-paste visuals that detract from any potential immersiveness. The complaints about special effects and quality are pervasive, with some characters comparing it unfavorably to what they perceive as amateur work from a decade ago. On the other hand, there exist a group of enthusiasts who appreciate the movie's retro charm and its homage to various pop culture elements from the '80s and '90s. The unique blend of genres and a surreal script, layered with over-the-top characters and peculiar plot twists, manages to carve out a space for it in the landscape of cult films. The director's commitment to a very specific aesthetic—characterized by grindhouse influences and an intentionally cheesy execution—has been noted as a redeeming quality by some. Moreover, the dubbing has received a nod for its emotional depth, leading some to temporarily forget that the original wasn't in English. Despite the glaring production flaws, those who have embraced its nonsensical flow may find it oddly compelling as a communal 'watch at your own risk' experience. Ultimately, this film will appeal to those seeking something radically different—understanding that its charm lies heavily in its absurdity and retro throwbacks—while others will likely walk away regretful after a few disheartening minutes. **
