One of the main advantages of this replaceable sensor bar is that it is USB powered and can work with modern televisions and desktops. Customers have confirmed that it can be used with the Dolphin emulator. The product uses infrared LEDs which cannot be seen by the naked eye. Customers can see the lights by pointing their phones camera at the device, where they should appear purple through the phone camera's viewfinder. There are only three infrared LEDs per side compared to six in the original sensor bar, and it has a wonky tracking issue. There is no way to adjust the distance between the lights to better suit the playing distance, and the design makes it difficult to prop up at a good angle/height. However, the long USB cable seems to be satisfactory to many users. The replaceable sensor bar works with 3rd party Wii remotes that work with the original sensor bar. Customers mentioned that there is no limit to the number of controllers that can detect the sensor bar.
