Asmodee Board Games CE05 Editorial Review
The Cosmic Encounter expansion has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm from players, highlighting its substantial contribution to the game's already rich tapestry of strategy and unpredictability. Users appreciate how it amplifies replayability, making each game session feel fresh and engaging. The introduction of various new characters and alien powers further spices up gameplay, allowing for unique strategies and interactions that keep players on their toes. Many reviewers suggest starting with this expansion by using the original game's aliens before fully integrating everything for an optimal experience. The artwork and quality of the components have also received commendations, adding an aesthetic charm to the gaming experience. However, some players have noted that a couple of the new alien powers can be imbalanced, which may necessitate tweaks for a fair game. Still, the expansion is viewed as a worthy investment for fans looking to deepen their Cosmic Encounter experience. Overall, the expansion is praised for enhancing the game's depth and fun, making it a recommended addition for both new and veteran players alike. **
