Reviewers praise the sound quality, even from the earliest 78 rpm recordings, highlighting the emotional depth Barbirolli brings to compositions by Vaughan Williams and Sibelius. Many listeners appreciate the organization of the box set into orchestral works, concerti, and operatic recordings, providing a comprehensive exploration of Barbirolli's conducting prowess.
