Detalles de producto
- Fred Sanford and his 34 year old son live together, many times lacking in harmony, attempting to support themselves as junk dealers. They are surrounded by a cast of characters who help them keep their sense of humor. A hit with audiences and critics alike, Sanford and Son is the classic sitcom starring the outrageous comic genius Redd Foxx. A ratings smash, Sanford and Son received a Golden Glob win (Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy, 1973) for Foxx. South Central L.A. junk dealer Fred Sanford (Foxx) and his partner-in-grime, son Lamont (Demond Wilson), are constantly struggling to make ends meet, but Fred always has just one more get rich quick scheme up his sleeve, sometimes involving best friend Grady (Whitman Mayo). When he's not haggling over his empire of junk, he's sparing with his sister-in-law, the cantankerous, Bible-thumping Aunt Esther (LaWanda Page). Nothing can get you out of the dumps like watching the hilarious exploits of Fred Sanford!

Sony Comedy TV Shows Editorial Review
Sanford & Son: The Complete Series DVD is a classic show in black history television. The set is shipped fast and well-packaged. It makes for a great gift and the shows are very clear. The series is funny and engaging, even after several decades since its original air. The only downside is that the hub-pack disc packaging makes it difficult to choose a specific disc and there are minor image-quality issues in some scenes. However, the audio is clear and no digital enhancement or correction was done other than a transfer from video. Overall, it's a solid, funny comedy that is strongly recommended.
