The Promar TR-555 Folding Crab Trap with Top Door is a trap designed for catching crabs. The grid openings are small enough to prevent crabs from escaping and the entrance doors are one-way doors to keep them inside. The trap is legal in California and has the required escape ring with rottable cotton cord. It is also capable of catching blue crab in ocean water. However, some customers have reported that it is not very sturdy and one customer has not been able to catch any blue crabs using this trap and does not recommend it for that purpose.
