Many parents have noted that their kids loved these stories, often sharing them as a family activity, indicating the series' ability to capture the imagination with its slightly dark themes. Some readers have suggested that while the books may be too intense for younger kids, they do provide excellent storytelling, especially for those drawn to fantasy and horror genres. This trilogy also ties into a show adaptation, making it a popular choice for fans of both mediums.
