Farpoint Telescope Accessories FP217 Editorial Review
Farpoint Collimation Kit - 2" with Carrying Case, FP217 is a stellar choice for anyone looking to improve their telescope's accuracy. Users have praised the exceptional quality of the laser and Chesire eyepiece, achieving impressive results even with fast f/2.8 Newtonians. Many found the included online video tutorial by Farpoint to be quite informative, making the collimation process easier. However, some customers noted issues with the laser's on/off switch—which can be intermittent—and expressed concerns regarding the product's potential prior use, especially with scratched threads in the battery compartment. Overall, despite some minor flaws, the build quality of the collimator inspires confidence and reliability for accurate positioning.
