The 12V Light Dimmer is a PWM LED Dimmer Switch suitable for RV, boat, truck, camper, van and trailer light fixtures. It works with DC12V or 24V circuit, not for AC120V. One customer was able to use it on 27ft of LED strip lights on their camper awning and it worked fine. However, another customer experienced the product fail after 40 days of use. The range of resistance applied by the dimmer is not clear, but one customer reported being able to reduce the light output to virtually 0 lumens. The product is not designed to work off of a 110v normal house electric set up. To install, customers will have to drill a hole of about 7.5mm in diameter as the knob control. The switch itself may require extra securing with glue or other means to remain in place on the front plate. While one reviewer reported a lot of visible flicker when controlling LEDs with this, especially when moving their eyes about, another reviewer solved the issue by adding a very large bypass capacitor (100,000uf) in parallel with the LED. Many reviewers expressed satisfaction with the product, stating that it worked like a charm and provided great control of dimming without noise or fuss.
