Respuesta: They are tart at first, but then become sweet. They are super delicious and remind my folks of the lemon drops they had as kids in mid 1930s - 1940s. My dad thinks these are made by the same company that made the ones my parents loved as kids. -

Respuesta: Root beer barrels have approximately 57 pieces, lemon drops have approximately 48 pieces. Not sure why the difference! Both are delicious, according to my husband, who loves hard candy.
