It is a good size for a kindergartener and can fit a sandwich (cut in half) and a handful of fruit. It does keep food warm, but the stainless steel inner container cannot be put in the microwave. However, the separation inside the container is not effective, especially when the box moves inside the bag. Loose food items tend to mix in the other compartments making it difficult to keep food separated. Thus, it does not work well for its intended purpose. It is adorable, bigger than expected and keeps everything nice and cold. The lid has venting holes and the quality is excellent. It is worth noting that the zipper broke for some users after being used a few times, rendering the insulation worthless.
