The Sculpey III Polymer Oven-Bake Clay is a versatile product that is great for modeling, sculpting, holiday projects, DIY, mixed media, and school projects. The 8 oz. bar is easy to press and condition, and the price is affordable compared to store prices. However, some customers have reported receiving a pearl color instead of the expected transparency. The clay is durable after baking, but the translucent version is not as sturdy. It is not recommended for use on a pottery wheel as it is too firm. The baking time is approximately 15-18 minutes at 275F, depending on the thickness. The clay is a neutral off-white color and takes paint well. Overall, the Sculpey III Polymer Oven-Bake Clay is a good option, but the transparency and moldability may vary.
