EAI Education Early Childhood Education Materials 520400 Editorial Review
The EAI Education Exploragons® Student Set, comprising 80 pieces, has garnered positive reception from educators, particularly in the realm of teaching geometry. With its innovative design featuring four attachment locations, users have noted the increased versatility this offers over competing products, encouraging creativity during Construction activities. Teachers have highlighted how the pieces effectively facilitate learning about angles, triangles, and quadrilaterals, which is particularly beneficial for elementary students in grades 4 and 5. Notably, the inclusion of a protractor has been praised as it enhances students' understanding of angle measurement, addressing common misconceptions. The interlocking pieces allow for dual measurement options—length and spacing—further enriching the educational experience. Despite concerns regarding the longevity of the plastic components when subjected to frequent use, the set is recognized as an invaluable manipulative tool that can significantly aid conceptual learning in geometry. Overall, the Exploragons® have successfully captured the interest of students, making mathematics engaging beyond formal lessons. Many educators recommend acquiring multiple sets to maximize their application across different mathematical concepts. **
