Explore Scientific Eyepieces FE02-125 Editorial Review
The Explore Scientific 1.25" 2X Focal Extender has garnered a range of customer feedback that reveals a generally positive reception accompanied by some instrumental Considerations for potential buyers. Many users highlight the effectiveness of the extender in doubling the focal length of their telescopes, particularly appreciating the sharpness and clarity of images produced, especially in astrophotography. One user noted the importance of understanding the focal extender's operational nuances, specifically that it requires careful adjustment for optimal focus, especially when used with DSLRs. The Construction quality of the extender has been praised, with users reporting its heavy, robust build and high optical performance, affirming that it meets their photographic needs under various conditions, including light pollution. However, some have raised concerns regarding its size, which may not be compatible with all diagonal setups, and issues with the protective cover slipping, exposing the lens. While some users believe that there are more affordable options for certain uses, particularly for planetary photography, the clarity and steadiness provided by this extender often justify the price for serious astrophotographers. In summary, the Explore Scientific 1.25" 2X Focal Extender is well-regarded for its optical quality and solid Construction, though potential buyers should Consider compatibility with their existing equipment and the learning curve associated with achieving optimal focus. **
