Kidde Combination Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors 30CUDR-V Editorial Review
** Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector** The Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector has garnered a mixed reception among customers, with many highlighting its ease of installation and effectiveness in smoke detection, while others point out notable concerns regarding false alarms. Users appreciate the audible alerts that differentiate between smoke and carbon monoxide—a feature that adds a layer of reassurance and clarity in emergencies. Installation is reported as straightforward, often taking mere minutes to mount, especially when replacing an old Kidde model. Customers have praised the device for its loud and clear notifications, which are particularly helpful in alerting users in case of a fire or carbon monoxide presence. The voice alerts and LED indicators are viewed favorably as enhancements over older models. However, the product has faced criticism for its susceptibility to false alarms, with several users reporting instances of the alarm triggering without any smoke or fire present. This issue appears to develop after a few months of use, leading to frustrations among Consumers who value reliable performance in safety devices. While some have managed to reset the alarms temporarily by removing the batteries, the recurring false alerts diminish confidence in the model's long-term reliability. Overall, while the Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector offers solid features and easy installation, potential purchasers should be aware of the possible challenges with false alarms that may arise with prolonged use. **
