What is the Go Fast Bits Mach 2 Atmosphere Conversion Kit?

The Go Fast Bits Mach 2 Atmosphere Conversion Kit is designed to convert specific T9100 series recirculating dump valves to atmosphere venting. This kit significantly enhances the vehicle's performance by providing faster turbo spool and improved throttle response. It is specifically engineered for compatibility with the T9100, T9101, T9102, T9104, T9105, and T9135 models. Users can experience a more aggressive sound and better performance under high-load conditions, making it a great choice for car enthusiasts seeking to maximize turbo efficiency.

What benefits does converting to atmospheric venting provide?

Switching from recirculating to atmospheric venting allows for a noticeable increase in turbo responsiveness. When the throttle closes, the pressure is released to the atmosphere instead of being redirected back into the intake. This change can lead to quicker turbo spool times and a decrease in turbo lag during acceleration. Enthusiasts will enjoy hearing the iconic sounds of the atmospheric venting, which adds to the driving experience, especially during high-performance scenarios like racing or spirited driving.

Is the Mach 2 Atmosphere Conversion Kit easy to install?

Yes, the Mach 2 Atmosphere Conversion Kit is designed for user-friendly installation. Most vehicle owners with basic mechanical skills can install it without professional assistance. The kit typically comes with all necessary hardware and clear instructions that make the process straightforward. Users should always consult their vehicle's service manual for any specific requirements or considerations to ensure a successful installation, enhancing their vehicle's performance with minimal hassles.

Which cars are compatible with this conversion kit?

The Go Fast Bits Mach 2 Atmosphere Conversion Kit is compatible with several vehicles that use the T9100 series dump valves, including the T9100, T9101, T9102, T9104, T9105, and T9135 models. This means it caters to a range of turbocharged vehicles seeking enhanced performance. Ensuring compatibility before purchasing is crucial, as each vehicle may have different setup needs, and the kit is tailored to these specific models for optimal results.

Will this kit affect my vehicle’s emissions?

Converting to atmospheric venting via the Go Fast Bits Mach 2 kit may affect your vehicle's emissions setup. Some jurisdictions consider atmospheric venting a modification that could potentially lead to increased emissions. It is essential to check your local regulations regarding emissions modifications to ensure compliance. For competitive racing scenarios, this modification is widely accepted, but everyday drivers should be mindful of regulatory requirements to avoid any issues during vehicle inspections.

How does this kit improve throttle response?

This conversion kit improves throttle response by allowing the turbo to vent excess pressure directly to the atmosphere when the throttle closes. This rapid release of pressure minimizes turbo lag, allowing the turbocharger to spool faster when you accelerate again. As a result, drivers experience a more immediate throttle response, which is critical in high-speed driving or situations demanding sudden acceleration. This enhancement leads to a more dynamic and exciting driving experience overall.

Can I revert back to recirculation if I want?

Yes, one of the advantages of the Go Fast Bits Mach 2 Atmosphere Conversion Kit is that it can be reverted back to the original recirculation setup if desired. This flexibility allows users to experiment with the atmospheric venting response while retaining the option to switch back should they prefer the previous configuration. Just make sure to keep the original components safe and follow proper reinstallation procedures to ensure seamless transition between setups.

What tools are needed for installation?

To install the Go Fast Bits Mach 2 Atmosphere Conversion Kit, you typically need an assortment of common hand tools. Essential items include a socket set, screwdrivers, and wrenches to remove and replace the necessary components. Depending on your specific vehicle setup, you may also need additional tools like pliers to help with securing hoses. Having a clean work environment and a basic understanding of your vehicle's system will aid in a smoother installation process.

Does this kit require any tuning adjustments after installation?

While the Go Fast Bits Mach 2 Atmosphere Conversion Kit is designed for straightforward installation, tuning adjustments may be beneficial for some vehicles. After switching to atmospheric venting, drivers might notice changes in the engine's performance, and thus a re-tune can optimize performance further. It is advisable to monitor engine parameters closely after installation and consult with a professional tuner for tailored adjustments based on your specific vehicle and driving style.
