Designed for 1 to 5 players aged 14 and above, the game combines rich lore from the Witcher universe with engaging mechanics, making it both immersive and enjoyable. Players commend Gwent for its depth and strategic options, highlighting how each match necessitates careful planning and foresight. The game's rules are accessible, allowing new gamers to pick it up easily while still providing layers of complexity that seasoned players appreciate. It's praised for being quick to play, with typical rounds taking about 20 minutes, making it a suitable choice for both casual and competitive gaming sessions. Additionally, the game's aesthetic presentation has attracted positive remarks. The artwork is noted for its vibrant and captivating style, further enhancing the thematic experience of the game. However, experienced players suggest that mastery of the game can take time, as developing winning strategies often requires practice and familiarity with the various cards.
